Jewish people calculate their dates and calendar differently from the Gentile / Roman calendar.
Genesis 1:5,8 — Jewish people people
We got the names of our days from the Romans. We got the names of our months from the Greeks and the Romans. The Jewish people count the months.
Leviticus 23:5 — First month, fourteenth day
Numbers 29:1 — Seventh month of the first day, Blowing the Trumpets
God talks about his feast days by counting the months and the days.
The Tora calculates time based on the cycles of the moon. The moon cycle is 27 to 30 days. The Jewish people follow a lunar calendar. The Greeks and Romans follow the sun. Many of the cultures who follow the sun actually worshiped the sun.
At the time of the blowing of the trumpets is a new moon. When the first silver sliver of the moon appeared is when the Feast of the Trumpets started. In Jesus day, they did not know the day nor the hour when the Feast of the Trumpets would start.
Revelation 22:17 — The Spirit and the Bride say come. The Bride had a helper and the groom had a helper.
Acts 19:4 — John the Baptist was a forerunner of Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul
John 3:29 is the friend of the Bridegroom.
Rosh Hashanah — The Day of Concealment by Perry Stone
I. Isaiah 26:19 - 21 : The LORD cometh out of his place to punish iniquity. The Indignation is Coming.
This passage is connected to The Feast of Trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah. Three Themes in Rosh Hashanah.
In the ancient Jewish wedding, the Bride is carried in a box on two poles (looks like the Ark of the Covenant), held by four men, and left her up, and carry her to where she will meet her husband
This couple enters the Houpa — the marital chamber, where they stay for seven days. In the Bible, days are inter-changed for years. In the same way, when the Church is Raptured during the seven year period of the Tribulation Period on earth
Rosh Hashana — the Bride and groom are being concealed together, hidden away, just like Isaiah said in Isaiah 26:20. Come into the chamber and shut and lock the door.
The time of Indignation is a time of judgement and wrath during the Tribulation Period.
Yom Hakish — the day of hiding — to conceal, to hide, to cover
During Rosh Hashanah — no man knew the day nor the hour
Isaiah 26:19 — Wake up … the Earth will give up their dead — The Resurrection of the Dead
Daniel 12:2, 1 Corinthians 15:52 talks about the Resurrection
In the New Testament — Jesus Christ comes back for the Church and then returns with them
Isaiah 26:20 — Shut the door behind you
Matthew 24:33 His time is near, even at the door
Matthew 25:10 The door was shut
Revelation 4:1 — John was caught up with the LORD in heaven when the door was opened and then the door was shut.
John 14:2 — Abiding places in heaven
Isaiah 26:21 — The LORD is coming in Indignation and anger and wrath in judgement of this Earth
Revelation 14:10 — The Cup of Indignation in the time of Revelation Tribulation Period
The end of Tribulation Period is Revelation 19
Zephaniah 2:1-2 — Gather together, before the Day bring forth, that you will be hid during the day of the LORD’s anger — the Rapture is gathering together and concealing the Church in the LORD
2 Thessalonians 2:1 We are gathering together unto Jesus Christ
Another picture is the Moon being concealed. God will conceal His people while the Indignation is going on earth.
Psalms 81:3 — Blow the Trumpet at the new moon at the time of the concealed moon
Study the Rapture from the Hebrew perspective. Paul got the revelation of the Rapture.
The key of the understanding of the Coming of Christ is to understand the ancient Jewish wedding
This depiction of The Menorah being taken away on the Arch of Titus that still stands today in Rome. This frieze is the best known image of what the menorah in the Temple looked like. As such it is this depiction of the Menorah which appears on Israel’s Coat of Arms.
The Menorah has seven branches of candelsticks. Seven is the perfect number for God. Israel celebrates seven feasts:
Passover
Unleavened Bread
First Fruits
Pentecost
Trumpets (Rosh Hashana)
Yom Kippur
Feast of Tabernacle
Jesus Christ fulfilled the first four feasts (Spring Feasts) whe He came the first time. And He will fulfill the last three feasts (Fall Feasts) when He comes the second time.
Passover — Jesus Christ was the Passover Lamb that took away the sin of the world
Unleavened Bread — Jesus was sinless. Jesus exchanged His perfection for our sin so that He could present us sinless and perfect to the Holy Father in Heaven.
First Fruits — Jesus Christ was the First Fruit after He died and was resurrected He was the first to be resurrected and to be present in Heaven as the First of many to follow through faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior.
Penticost — Jesus gave His Holy Spirit to the Church when He left. He did not leave us as orphans but left His Holy Spirit in this world to protect, guide, and direct the Church.
Trumpets — The next event on God’s calendar is the Rapture of the Church. Of all of the feasts, Rosh Hashana was the one when “no one would know the day nor the hour” because Rosh Hashana occurs on a new moon which shifts in time. We believe the LORD is going to take His Bride the Church into heaven on Rosh Hashana while the world will spin out of control into the Seven Year Tribulation Period. The last three and a half years will be the Great Tribulation Period that will become hell on earth. Meanwhile, in heaven, the Church is celebrating and experienicing the Marriage of the Lamb in heaven (Rev 19, Rev 12:10-12).
Yom Kippur — We believe Jesus Christ will fulfill Yom Kippur with the Return of Jesus Christ. At the end of the Great Tribulation Period, Jesus will return with the Saints (His Bride) and Jesus will defeat the AntiChrist and False Prophet. Satan is bound for one thousand years. Jesus Christ sets up his Millennial Reign on Earth and true Justice and Peace will be on Earth. The Earth will be renewed and civilization will grow beyond anything that mankind has seen under the direct guidance and leadership of Jesus Christ (Revelation 20:1-6).
Feast of Tabernacle — We believe in a young Earth. We believe that since creation the time that has expired is six thousand years. And for the next thousand years (the seventh thousand years of creation), we believe we will tabernacle with Jesus Christ, God the Father, and Holy Spirit (The Holy Trinity) for one thousand years during the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ on Earth. After that, we will continue to tabernacle with The Holy Trinity for eternity with the creation of a New Heaven and a New Earth (Revelation 21).
Jesus Christ fullfilled the first four Feasts to the day and He will fulfill the next three as well.
Leviticus 23 — Talks about God’s Feasts
Genesis 1:14 — God placed the sun, moon, and stars in the heavens for signs and signals. A sign for His Return to this earth.
God uses stars to mark time. Stars, planets, sun, and moon are God’s clock; His calendar.
Signals will be during the seven feasts
The signs are solar eclipses (Sun is blotted out) and lunar eclipses (also known as a Blood Moon)
The feasts are the LORD’s Feasts
The LORD was crucified on Passover. The LORD was bound to the cross at the third hour of the day (9 AM)
The Priests sing the Hallel Psalm 113-118 which talks about how the LORD delivers those who follow Him
Unleavened Bread: Jesus had no sin. His body did no decay.
Jesus was the First Fruits of the Resurrection.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as the LORD fulfilled the first four feasts so He will fulfill the Fall Feasts.
Israel has Spring Feasts, a Summer Harvest, and Fall Feasts.
Jesus fulfilled the Spring Feasts
Then God had a harvest over the past 2,000 years of saving mankind from His sin for those who have faith in Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, then He gives them the right to become children of God, and they will participate in the Rapture of the Church.
Fall Feasts: The feast of Trumpets is tied into the book of Revelation. God always warns mankind before judgement comes. Trumpets also coronate the King, and Jesus Christ is coming back of King of Kings and LORD of Lords.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 Feasts refers to the appointed times. You understand the festivals. The LORD will come as a thief in the night. Revelation 3:1-3 written to the churches. He is writing to the dead church. Jesus warns the dead church that He will come to them as a theif in the night.
Laodecian Church Warning: Revelation 3:17-18 Warns the Laodecian Church for being luke-warm and “the shame of their nakedness”
Revelation 16:15 says blessed is the one who is watching and aware of the Return of Jesus Christ. They are not naked nor in shame.
Revelation 3:20 Jesus stands at the door of the church and knocks. Jesus is talking to the church because He is standing outside the church.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-9 “But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are sons of light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on the faith and love as a breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Matthew 25:8-13 The virgins who were ready came to the marriage supper.
Luke 12:37-41 Lord says the watching servants are those who are blessed.
Then Peter asks the LORD who He is directing the parable to.
Luke 12:42-48 But the wicked servant is going to be the one who does not expect the LORD to return and “He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers”.
Know what to be watching: Israel
1948 — Israel is regathered as a nation
1967 — Israel wins the six day war and establishes itself in the Middle East once again
Luke 19: 41-44 Jesus rebuking the religious leaders because they didn’t know when He was coming to Jerusalem.
1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 At the last trumpet we will all be changed in the Rapture.
Israel will blow the last trump at Rosh Hashana (trump #100) and the LORD will call up His Bride the Church into heaven during the Feast of Trumpets.
